Academic background
Stela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences and a Master’s Degree in International Relations and European Studies obtained at the University of Florence “Cesare Alfieri”. Due to her interest in EU Affairs and EU Funds, she focused in acquiring experience in European Project Cycle Management and was awarded with multiple certificates. She was awarded also with a scholarship for the best research thesis named “Intelligence Sharing in the EU: A critical approach” during her advanced course in Intelligence and National Security at the University of Florence.
Professional background
Stela began her career as a Policy Officer trainee at the Tuscany Region Liaison office in Brussels dealing mainly with EU-Tuscany Region projects in High Tech Farming and Precision Farming, monitoring of EU main policies and managing a database for regional projects on precision farming. Stela has also been a trainee for the Europe Office at the Italian National Association of Municipalities (ANCI) in Florence where she was involved in the SpeedUp project following the different phases of the European Project Cycle Management. At the same office she supported the Project leader for the Euro-African partnership Program for decentralized governance.
During the last years, she has worked as a Project Assistant for EU funded project “Assistance to Kosovo Forensic Agency and Kosovo Police to Improve Special Investigation Techniques” at the European Institute for Public Policy. She supported the Project leader and team in all steps of the project development.
Stela joined Time & Place Consulting as Junior Consultant in 2021 where she supports various projects ranging from providing extensive research and analysis on crypto-currency governance and providing monitoring capacities for clients to successfully participate in Horizon Europe projects. She is also responsible for providing operational support across all the entities under the Time & Place Group, most notably Time & Place Funding.
